Simpson Adds Trio of M&A Partners, in Latest Signal of Talent War in Sports Practices

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP announced Tuesday that it has expanded its sports, media and entertainment practice with the addition of leading sports corporate lawyers Michael Kuh and Eric Geffner as co-heads of the firm’s sports group.

The firm also welcomed Matthew Carpenter-Dennis as a partner, further enhancing its transactional and advisory capabilities in the sports sector.

The hires come amid intensifying competition among major law firms to attract top sports industry talent and deepen client offerings across sports, media and entertainment.

The additions reinforce Simpson Thacher’s strategic focus on growing its global sports practice and advising teams, leagues and investors on complex commercial and corporate matters.
