Lateral hiring by major law firms in the Washington, D.C. area has begun strongly this September, with at least seven firms announcing new hires. Paul Weiss has rehired Masha Hansford, an appellate litigator, from the DOJ’s Office of the Solicitor General. Arnold & Porter also announced three lateral partner hires in its D.C., Seattle, and Los Angeles offices.
