President Donald Trump has nominated four candidates to fill vacant federal judgeships in North Carolina, praising them as “rock-solid constitutionalists.” Among the nominees is a partner from Troutman Pepper Locke, as well as former attorneys from McGuireWoods and O’Melveny & Myers. One of the nominees is Matt Orso, a white-collar litigator based in Charlotte, who is also being considered for a federal judgeship.
