Senior Legal Executive Assistant (Law Firm Experience Required)

Position Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to support a senior global leader based in New York. This is a high-impact, high-visibility position supporting a Global Vice Chair.
The ideal candidate is exceptionally polished, proactive, and operates with a high degree of professionalism and discretion. This role requires someone who can anticipate needs, manage complex priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. It is best suited for individuals with a proven track record of supporting senior executives at the highest levels within large law firms or well-known corporate organizations.
This role requires flexibility, including the ability to be in-office when leadership is present, adapt to last-minute scheduling changes, and occasionally respond to urgent matters outside standard business hours. There may also be opportunities to travel with leadership as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to a senior global leader, handling sensitive, confidential, and time-critical matters
- Represent leadership with professionalism when interacting with partners, clients, and senior stakeholders
- Anticipate needs and proactively manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, global environment
- Build strong relationships across the organization to support key initiatives
- Draft and refine executive-level communications, presentations, and reports
- Manage complex global calendars, coordinating high-level meetings across time zones
- Oversee detailed domestic and international travel arrangements with contingency planning
- Coordinate executive meetings, initiatives, and events, including logistics and follow-ups
- Partner with finance and operations teams on budgeting, billing, and client-related matters
- Assist with review of contracts, proposals, and financial materials
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to information governance standards
- Navigate high-pressure situations and competing priorities with professionalism
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience supporting C-suite executives, global chairs, or senior leadership
- Experience within a large law firm or well-known corporate environment strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Ability to operate independently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong digital fluency
Work Environment & Expectations
- Hybrid role with flexibility required based on leadership schedule
- Occasional travel with senior leadership may be required
- Availability to handle urgent communications outside standard business hours when needed
- Fast-paced, demanding environment with high expectations for quality and responsiveness
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $150,000 – $225,000, depending on experience and qualifications
