Position Description:
Our client is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and experienced Legal Executive Assistant to provide executive-level support to two litigation partners. While the position may be based in any of the firm's U.S. offices, Boston is strongly preferred.

This role is ideal for a seasoned law firm professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities with minimal supervision, and delivers exceptional service to attorneys and clients alike. As a trusted partner to senior attorneys, the Legal Executive Assistant will play a critical role in driving efficiency, managing complex workflows, and supporting client-facing work, allowing attorneys to focus on high-value legal matters and business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day executive and administrative support to two litigation partners, managing priorities, deadlines, and workflow coordination.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for attorneys, clients, courts, vendors, and internal personnel.
• Draft, revise, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, presentations, and other materials.
• Manage complex calendars, scheduling, travel arrangements, meeting logistics, and expense reporting.
• Coordinate and support attorney projects, client deliverables, and business development activities.
• Handle billing responsibilities, including pre-bill review, edits, follow-up, and coordination with accounting teams.
• Delegate and coordinate work with shared support resources to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical matter files in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
• Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of legal executive assistant, legal assistant, or comparable legal support experience within a law firm environment required.
• Experience supporting litigation attorneys and/or partners strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven law firm setting.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, legal documentation, and law firm workflows.
• Experience handling attorney billing, pre-bills, expense reporting, and client service responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
• Comfortable learning and utilizing new technologies, including AI-enabled tools and virtual collaboration platforms.

Compensation & Schedule

• Hourly, non-exempt position.
• Compensation up to $60.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and geographic market.
• Overtime eligible and paid in accordance with applicable law.
• Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
• Position is onsite for the first 60 days and will transition to a hybrid 3/2 schedule thereafter.

Location

Boston is strongly preferred for this opening.
