Are you a corporate associate looking for more than just another deal team?
Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 200 firm, is seeking a 3rd to 5th year Corporate Associate to join its growing Corporate & Capital Markets practice in New York or Boston.
This is an exceptional opportunity to build a sophisticated corporate practice while developing meaningful client relationships and working directly with experienced partners. Associates are entrusted with substantive responsibility early in their careers and advise a diverse client base that includes private equity investors, portfolio companies, hedge funds, public and private companies, and emerging growth businesses on a broad range of complex corporate transactions.
With a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture and a lean staffing model, this practice provides attorneys with direct partner access, meaningful hands on experience, and the opportunity to develop a well rounded corporate skillset across mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, equity financings, capital markets, corporate governance, and general corporate counseling. Associates work across a broad range of industries, including technology and life sciences, while building long term client relationships and assuming increasing responsibility.
Responsibilities
Advise public and private companies on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters.
Represent private equity investors, portfolio companies, hedge funds, and emerging growth companies in sophisticated corporate transactions.
Handle mergers and acquisitions, equity financings, venture capital investments, and other strategic corporate transactions.
Advise clients on corporate governance, corporate securities, and general corporate counseling matters.
Work directly with experienced partners while assuming increasing responsibility for complex transactional matters.
Develop long term client relationships across a diverse range of industries, including technology and life sciences.
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of corporate transactional experience at a comparable law firm.
Experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, equity financings, venture capital investments, and general corporate matters.
Solid foundation in corporate governance and corporate securities matters.
Outstanding academic credentials.
Excellent written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
J.D. required.
Active bar admission in New York or Massachusetts, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Bonus eligibility beginning at 1,950 total hours (1,800 client billable hours plus 150 pro bono or firm investment hours), with enhanced bonus opportunities available above target.
Compensation
$250,000 to $325,000, commensurate with experience.
