Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking an Illinois licensed attorney to join its nationally recognized Mass Torts Practice Group as Counsel.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a litigation attorney with experience in asbestos, talc, toxic tort, or product liability matters who is looking to handle sophisticated, high-profile litigation within a national practice that serves as trial counsel, national coordinating counsel, and local counsel in complex product liability matters throughout the United States. Responsibilities

You will independently manage sophisticated litigation matters while collaborating with experienced attorneys to develop strategic approaches that deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing asbestos, talc, toxic tort, and product liability litigation through all phases of the litigation process

• Handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and other substantive litigation responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other complex legal filings

• Conducting legal research and applying procedural rules and case law to develop effective litigation strategies

• Working directly with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and litigation support professionals

• Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop strategic case plans

• Traveling periodically for depositions, hearings, court appearances, and other litigation proceedings

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials

• Active Illinois Bar license in good standing

• Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience handling toxic tort, asbestos, talc, product liability, or comparable complex litigation

• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to independently manage an active litigation caseload while working effectively within a collaborative team environment

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $150,000 to $215,000

Location

Preference is given to attorneys located in or near the Chicago metropolitan area. However, remote work arrangements will be considered for qualified candidates. Periodic travel is required for depositions, hearings, court appearances, and other litigation proceedings.
