New York, NY | Hybrid Schedule (3 Days In Office / 2 Days Remote)

About the Opportunity

A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a Capital Markets & Securities Associate to join its growing New York office. This opportunity is available due to a significant influx of new business and continued expansion within a nationally recognized Capital Markets & Securities practice.

The group advises public and private companies, financial institutions, sponsors, investors, and underwriters on sophisticated capital markets transactions, securities law compliance, corporate governance matters, and public company reporting obligations. With more than 30 attorneys in the practice, the team offers substantial deal exposure, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile matters alongside experienced partners and industry-leading practitioners.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate seeking sophisticated capital markets work, meaningful responsibility, strong mentorship, and a clear path for continued professional growth within a collaborative and expanding platform.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on public and private debt and equity offerings

  • Represent issuers, underwriters, investors, and public companies in a variety of capital markets transactions

  • Draft and review registration statements, offering documents, prospectuses, periodic reports, and related securities filings

  • Counsel clients regarding Exchange Act reporting requirements and ongoing SEC compliance obligations

  • Advise on corporate governance matters, stock exchange compliance, public company disclosure obligations, and securities law issues

  • Support strategic corporate transactions and day-to-day public company advisory work

  • Collaborate closely with partners and clients on sophisticated, high-impact matters

Qualifications

  • JD class years 2019–2021

  • Active admission to the New York State Bar

  • 4–6 years of capital markets and securities experience gained at a large law firm

  • Experience handling public and private debt and equity offerings

  • Experience with Exchange Act reporting and SEC compliance matters

  • Experience advising public company clients on disclosure obligations and corporate governance issues

  • Strong drafting, analytical, organizational, and client-management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
