Position Description:
Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a junior associate to join its Financial Restructuring Practice Group in either Chicago or New York.

The ideal candidate will have two to three years of experience working on restructuring matters, including out-of-court restructurings, workouts, and complex Chapter 11 reorganizations. This experience should include representing both lenders and debtors.

This role provides the opportunity to work on sophisticated in-court and out-of-court restructurings for institutional and private credit lenders, as well as large public and private companies across a variety of industries. Candidates should have experience negotiating and drafting loan documents, exercising creditor remedies, and preparing core restructuring documents and pleadings, including plans of reorganization, restructuring support agreements, first-day motions, and other Chapter 11 filings.

Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials, along with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Candidates must be admitted to the bar in the state corresponding to their preferred office location (Illinois or New York).
