Are you ready to take ownership of sophisticated litigation while working alongside one of the country's premier Mass Torts litigation teams?
Our client, a prestigious Am Law 100 law firm, is seeking a Missouri licensed attorney to join its nationally recognized Mass Torts Practice Group as Counsel.
This is a fully remote opportunity for an attorney with established experience handling toxic tort, asbestos, talc, or product liability litigation. The successful candidate will step into an active practice and should be prepared to manage sophisticated litigation with a high degree of autonomy from day one.
The practice serves as trial counsel, national coordinating counsel, and local counsel in complex product liability matters throughout the United States. Attorneys are supported by experienced litigators, in-house medical and scientific professionals, and dedicated litigation support resources that help drive exceptional client outcomes.

Competitive compensation of $150,000 to $215,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities
You will independently manage sophisticated asbestos, talc, toxic tort, and product liability litigation matters while collaborating with experienced attorneys to develop strategic approaches that deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Responsibilities include:

Managing asbestos, talc, toxic tort, and product liability litigation through all phases of the litigation process.

Handling discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, and other substantive litigation responsibilities.

Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and other complex legal filings.

Conducting legal research and applying legal principles, procedural rules, and case law to develop effective litigation strategies.

Working directly with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and litigation support professionals.

Collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop strategic case plans.

Traveling periodically for depositions, hearings, court appearances, and other litigation proceedings.
Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Active Missouri Bar license in good standing.

Approximately 3 to 5 years of substantive experience handling toxic tort, asbestos, talc, or product liability litigation.

Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation matters with minimal training.

Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively within a collaborative litigation team while exercising sound independent judgment.
Preferred Experience

Experience defending toxic tort, asbestos, talc, or product liability matters.

Experience independently managing an active litigation caseload.

Experience taking and defending depositions.

Experience drafting and arguing substantive motions.

Experience managing cases through all phases of discovery and trial preparation.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $150,000 to $215,000

Location
This is a fully remote position. Candidates must hold an active Missouri Bar license and be willing to travel periodically for depositions, hearings, court appearances, and other litigation proceedings. Preference is given to candidates located in or near the St. Louis metropolitan area.
