Position Description:
Our client, a premier global law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Paralegal to join its Boston office. For experienced commercial real estate paralegals, opportunities offering sophisticated work, a highly flexible schedule, and a nationally recognized platform are increasingly difficult to find. This role provides all three. This position offers a hybrid schedule requiring only one day per week in the office, exposure to complex commercial real estate transactions, and the opportunity to work alongside highly regarded attorneys within a well-established and growing practice. Responsibilities
The Senior Real Estate Paralegal will play a critical role supporting attorneys throughout all phases of commercial real estate transactions.
Responsibilities include:

Assisting with due diligence associated with commercial real estate matters
-
Ordering, reviewing, and analyzing title commitments, title policies, recorded documents, and surveys
-
Identifying title and survey issues and assisting attorneys with issue resolution
-
Developing, monitoring, and maintaining closing checklists
-
Preparing transaction documentation for attorney review
-
Coordinating execution, delivery, and receipt of transaction documents
-
Managing data rooms and maintaining transaction files
-
Tracking transaction milestones and ensuring deadlines are met

Coordinating with lenders, borrowers, title companies, governmental agencies, opposing counsel, clients, and third-party vendors

Supporting transactions from inception through closing

Maintaining organized matter files and ensuring accuracy of transaction records

Assisting attorneys across offices as needed
Required Qualifications
Only candidates meeting the following requirements will be considered:

Minimum of six years of commercial real estate paralegal experience

Current law firm experience is required
-
Demonstrated experience supporting commercial real estate transactions

Significant experience reviewing and analyzing title commitments, title documents, recorded instruments, and surveys

Experience handling real estate due diligence processes

Experience developing and maintaining closing checklists

Experience supporting transactions through closing

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple active matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Qualifications

Experience within a large national or international law firm

Demonstrated tenure and stability throughout career history

Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate

Experience mentoring junior paralegals or support staff

Conflicts experience

Exposure to high-volume transactional practices

This opportunity is best suited for candidates who have built their careers within law firm environments and possess a strong commercial real estate foundation.
Candidates coming from residential real estate, solely in-house environments, or those without substantial title and survey experience are unlikely to be competitive for consideration.
