Schedule: Hybrid working, 2 days in office; 8:30-5pm, M-F

Permanent Placements is seeking a Legal Secretary with experience in Estate Planning.  Candidates should have experience as a Legal Secretary working in a law firm that does Estate Planning, Probate Litigation, and/or Tax Planning. Candidates will be supporting lawyers and paralegals. 

What you’ll do:

  • Manage Outlook calendars to ensure deadlines are met and assist the attorneys with prioritization of duties
  • Review/proofread documents
  • Assist with billings & time entry
  • Manage expenses
  • E-filing  

Qualified candidates should have the following:

  • Working knowledge dealing with deeds, filing of wills and estate tax returns.
  • Knowledge dealing with probate court, preparing court documents and forms.
  • Experience editing, creating, and proofreading legal documents.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work is critical.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
  • Strong communication skills are required
  • Candidates with a Bachelors degree is not a requirement but it is a plus.​

Technology:

  • Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Juris time entry , Ipro Discovery Local (Case Management), and Work 10 (iManage) document management system is helpful.
  • Knowledge in the use of transcription applications and software helpful.
