Government Contracts Associate Attorney – Cost Accounting

Job Summary
Our client seeks a highly qualified Associate to join its Government Contracts practice group, working specifically with the cost accounting advisory and litigation area of the practice, from its Washington, DC office.
Qualifications
Candidates with 3 or more years of direct experience handling government contract cost accounting and pricing matters.
Preferred experience includes:
- Counseling clients on compliance with FAR Part 31 and Cost Accounting Standards, including in connection with responses to DCAA/DCMA audit reports and notices of potential CAS noncompliance.
- Pre-COFD dispute resolution of cost accounting matters.
- Representation of contractors in appeals at the ASBCA, CBCA and/or Court of Federal Claims involving cost accounting disputes, including experience drafting initial pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
- Providing advice and assistance with requests for equitable adjustment/contractor claims.
- Advice/counseling on compliance with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act and representation in defective pricing investigations/claims.
All candidates should have excellent academic credentials as well as highly developed critical thinking and analytical skills, strong written advocacy and oral communication skills, the ability to deliver timely and high-quality written work product in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative and team-oriented mindset. Candidates must be a member of the D.C. Bar or eligible to waive-in.
