Permanent Placements is seeking an individual for a client who is a highly regarded, International Law Firm for a new, cutting-edge role in their Key Accounts & Revenue Operations department.  This position will be located out of their Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or Chicago offices on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week in the office and 3 days WFH.  We are looking for someone with an Accounting or Finance Bachelor's degree who has prior knowledge & experience working within a law firm.  This individual will work with Partners in a proactive nature to achieve & maintain optimum revenue.  This role is a key advisor for partners and administration on large client accounts.  This individual will interact with both partners and clients to help maintain client relations and assist in the growth of strategic accounts. 

  • Candidates are expected to have excellent communications and presentation skills, they will work with all departments & take ownership of the revenue cycle (WIP & AR management) for designated “large/key accounts” with the goal of controlling/reducing days to bill & collect. 
  • They will build relationships with the key individuals within the assigned clients.
  • They will take responsibility and ownership for active management of accounts, including administration, analysis, and service delivery coordination.  They will assist in actively working to reduce administrative burdens or Attorneys & Professional Staff on assigned clients.
  • They will meet with Partners regularly to proactively evaluate WIP and AR status.  They will discuss and project the anticipated vs. expected billing & collection activities for the month, quarter, and year.
  • They will liaise with Secretaries, Billers, & Collectors to facilitate the revenue process; including quality control, process documentation, and workload balancing.
  • They will monitor collections and coordinate with Accounts Receivable regarding the account management.
  • They will develop detailed year-end billing and collections plans for assigned clients and ensure plan is met.
  • They will proactively monitor e-billing, address issues as needed.  They will also work with the attorneys and client representatives to resolve any issues.
  • They will ensure all requests from their assigned clients and/or Partners are addressed in an appropriate and timely manner.

Requirements Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance strongly encouraged.
  • Candidates without a degree but with equivalent level of experience within a law firm setting are also encouraged to apply

Experience:

  • Four years in comparable role responsible for accounting and/or financial related position.
  • Experience with billing/collections accounting systems within a law firm are preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent PC skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with an accounting/billing system within a law firm.
  • Possess a general knowledge of accounting theories and practices.

  • Ability to utilize technology, including computers and telecommunication devices.
  • You will be required to work in the office a minimum of 2 days per week. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of your normal daily schedule. The details of your weekly schedule will be discussed further with your direct supervisor
