Position Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Associate with 7+ years of experience to join their Los Angeles office. Candidates must have experience working with federal and state labor & employment laws (e.g., wage and hour, trade secret law, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and similar state laws). Candidates must possess strong academic credentials and have excellent communication and writing skills. Bar admission in California is required.
What you’ll do:
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to handle all aspects of litigation such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings & various motions & briefs, conducting & defending depositions, interacting with clients & opposing counsel, and attending court appearances.
In addition, successful applicants will provide advice on workplace law issues, including wage and hour, employee relations, mitigation of risk, ADA and other workplace accommodation, employment agreements, reductions-in-force, and employment-related policies.
