Position Description:
Our client is looking for a Sr. Commercial Litigation Counsel with a license to practice law in California. This individual can work from their Oakland or Los Angeles offices or can even work remotely, as long as they have around 10+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with all phases of complex commercial litigation including, but not limited to, experience conducting factual investigations and discovery, preparing pleadings, taking depositions, arguing motions, participating in mediation, and communicating with clients. Experience in both state and federal court is preferred, and experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial. The candidate will work primarily with attorneys in our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit. The ideal candidate will have excellent academic credentials, a commitment to the community, superior interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of working well under pressure. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action.
